Summer heat calls for refreshing drinks and this fruity watermelon raspberry lemonade is just perfect for that. This is a very simple recipe made with fresh fruits.
With summer in full swing, we all need something refreshing to quench our thirst. I am a big advocate of drinking water, at times we all need something different. This Watermelon raspberry lemonade is just perfect for the season.

Why is this the best lemonade
Lemonades made with just lemons and sugar can get boring very quickly. But when we add extra fruits, it not only adds flavor but also gives a beautiful color to the drink. Raspberry is one of the least consumed in our house and it was perfect to use it in the lemonade.
Also, watermelon is in full season and this lemonade is a perfect use of a large watermelon.
This recipe is very adaptable. If you don’t find raspberry, use strawberry instead. Or even better, use a mixture of berries to make it into a delicious Watermelon Berry Lemonade.

Ingredients to make Watermelon Raspberry Lemonade - (serves 4-6)
- Seedless watermelon (cubed) - 6 cups
- Raspberries - ¼ cup
- Sugar - ⅓ cup
- Lemon juice - from 2 lemons (about ½ cup)
- Water - 1 cup
- Ice - to serve
Procedure -
Place watermelon, raspberries, and water in a blender and blend until smooth.
Add sugar and lemon juice. Stir well until the sugar dissolves. I strained the juice since it was a little too thick for my liking, but you could leave it as is in the refrigerator for at least an hour to chill.
Serve the Lemonade over ice in glasses garnished with more fruit.

Use any kind of berry that you have in hand to make this lemonade.
I usually buy a large watermelon and freeze some fruit to make this lemonade with the frozen watermelon cubes.
Frozen berries work wonderfully in this recipe.
You could use bottled lemon juice to make the lemonade, but fresh ones taste the best.
I used glasses that are sugar-coated to make it more fun to serve this lemonade.
