Simple Garden Salad recipe is an excellent way to use fresh vegetables from the garden or from a store. It takes only 10 minutes to put together and can be a healthy alternative during meals.
This week, I have been making Summer salads that are loved by my family, especially my boys. I am very thankful that I don’t have to struggle to make my boys eat their vegetables.

In fact, my problem is the other way and I have to remind them to leave the vegetables aside for a while and eat some Carbs. One of their ever favorite way to eat their vegetables is this Simple Garden Salad.
Why make this salad?
I have made several salads in the past like this French green lentil salad which is high in protein or this simple buttered corn salad which is great as a snack. In spite of making salads routinely at home, I still find my boys always enjoying the simple garden salad that they serve as a side in many restaurants.
They really enjoy the salad bar in pizza hut or CiCi’s pizza and that is what gave me the idea to blog about this simple salad.
This is basically just a toss-everything-together salad. Many times use just the store-bought salad dressings or sometimes make my own. If you are looking to make some simple salad dressing, try this red wine vinaigrette or this Tahini vinaigrette .
This is a great salad for summer as it involves no cooking. Use a bag of basic salad with lettuce, carrot, and cabbage, or shred your own. Add in the rest of the assorted vegetables that you are using and top with croutons and cheese.
